While at lower RPMs, this engine delivers powerful torque that’s easy to handle and a deep throaty sound. Open the throttle to the mid-range, and the power of the engine responds linearly and smoothly, yet always under your control. Finally at higher RPMs, the V- twin cruises with performance ready to go, even at higher gears.
The full-powered version punches out an impressive 56.0kW / 8,500rpm with 64Nm of torque / 8,100rpm.
The learner approved version produces 35kW / 8,500rpm with 56.5Nm of torque / 4,000rpm to meet the Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme (LAMS) requirements.
To improve overall fuel efficiency and emissions control, the V-Twin engine adopts resin coating on the piston skirt for minimised friction and a special L-shaped piston ring for enhanced sealing performance.
The truss is constructed of lightweight steel material that allows an overall slimmed down appearance while proudly emphasising the beauty of the robust V-Twin engine.
A LCD instrument panel displays gear position, digital speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip meter, average/instantaneous fuel consumption, driving range, clock, water temperature gauge and fuel gauge.
This system enables engine starting at one push of the button. A computerised ECM checks the status and engages the starter motor immediately after activating the switch, making the engine starting process even easier for the rider.
This system helps reduce the chances of an unexpected engine stall by automatically raising the idle speed when releasing the clutch or when riding at low rpms, assisting frequent clutch work in congested traffic and preventing sudden and unexpected engine stalling when operating in the low rpm range.
The compact Antilock Brake System (ABS) by Nissin ensures the braking performance is matched to the available traction.
Dual four-piston Tokico brake calipers up front grasp a pair of 290mm fully floating stainless steel rotors for great stopping performance.
Unique in this class, utilises two spark plugs per cylinder for precise ignition.
An integrated twin-LED tail light and brake light configuration is compact yet slim. High-performance LEDs contribute to deliver excellent visibility and high durability, and makes for a sharp, sleek rear section.
The narrow, streamlined seat is measures only 785mm and is designed nearly flat from front to back, yet gives riders a superior degree of comfort and grip in the upright position, especially from the front side where good foothold is essential. In addition, a luggage loop is available for securing on cargo.
Despite its large 14.5-litre capacity, the fuel tank is slim yet sports an ergonomic form that is never cumbersome. The tank’s emblem has been changed from the signature “S” mark to the SUZUKI logo.
